# [Usage](../../../usage.md) > [Components and standard attributes](../basics.md) > fixed

---
`fixed` | `->setFixed()`

Valid only for `Table` and `TableColumn`, if applied to table set the header sticky, and if applied to column set the column sticky.

| Types     | Default |
|-----------|---------|
| `boolean` | `false` |

Pins Visual table chrome: on `Table` it makes the header sticky, on `TableColumn` it pins that column (usually first / actions). Has no effect on Form fields or other Visuals. When omitted (`false`) nothing sticks.
Use sparingly: many fixed columns hurt horizontal scroll UX.

### Example
Blade:
```php
{!! \KFramework\Components\Visual\Table::make()->setFixed(true) !!}
```
Controller:
```php
Table::make()->setFixed(true);
TableColumn::make('actions')->setFixed(true);
```

### Interaction / tips
- Pair Table-level `fixed` with 1–2 column-level `fixed` (../shared_attributes/fixed.md) for best results.
- Combine with `dimension` (../shared_attributes/dimension.md) to bound table height for sticky headers.
- Search / sort behavior is unchanged; see `Table` docs for column options.
