# [Usage](../../usage.md) > [UI](basics.md) > Theming

---
The K-Framework theming is simple, after publishing the assets:
```bash
php artisan kfw:update
```

you will find themes in the folder:
```
/public/vendor/k-framework/themes
```

here will be the `default.css` theme, which is advised to not delete unless ALL variables are replaced by another theme.

### Changing the theme

1) Create a new file in the folder `/public/vendor/k-framework/themes`
2) Name the file as the theme name, for example `theme_2.css`
3) Go in the config: `config\k-framework\ui.php`
4) Change the theme from `default` to the name of the theme chosen:

```php
'theme' => 'default',
```

to

```php
'theme' => 'theme_2',
```

It will automatically get the theme from the file name and include it in the UI.

### Page title and breadcrumb placement

The page title is displayed in the content page. The breadcrumb is displayed in the headbar on desktop and in the content above the title on mobile.

When the headbar is disabled (`headbar.enabled => false` in `config/k-framework/ui.php`), the page title remains displayed in the page.

Config keys / files: `theme` in `config/k-framework/ui.php`; theme CSS files in `/public/vendor/k-framework/themes` (keep `default.css` unless every variable is replaced). Blade/config example:

```php
// config/k-framework/ui.php
'theme' => 'theme_2',
```
```html
<x-kfw::ui>
   <!-- content rendered with theme_2.css variables -->
</x-kfw::ui>
```
